SAD GAY // GAY HELL

Sad Gay // Gay Hell is an exhibition of recent comics, animation, sculpture, and paintings by the Houston illustrator and graphic designer, Sebastian Gomez de la Torre. Employing dark humor and the use of the titular character, Sad Gay, the artist chronicles experiences in modern gay culture and technology, and how they can lead to a sense of isolation, hopelessness, and a warped self-image. This project is presented by Houston Community College, with support from the Idea Fund. The Idea Fund is a re-granting program administered through a partnership of DiverseWorks, Aurora Picture Show, and Project Row Houses and funded by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
